From Green PR campaigns, to writing websites and creating internal comms strategies – here are a few examples of our recent work:
Blue Energy Co
As part of our regular work with leading environment and ethical specialists Greenhouse PR, Amanda wrote the website copy for solar and wind energy specialists Blue Energy. She also worked alongside Greenhouse MD Anna Guyer to create a brand blueprint and PR Strategy to support Blue Energy’s launch.
Global Action Plan
Global Action Plan is the UK’s leading environmental behaviour change organisation that helps businesses, schools and communities cut carbon emissions. Amanda provided leadership and support to GAP’s in-house marketing and communications team through an intense period of change. She worked with the team to streamline activities, develop a strong internal process and identify media opportunities.
British Glass
This summer British Glass appointed us to work on a campaign highlighting the health benefits of glass packaging. One of our first priorities was to select the ‘face of glass’ and we found Countryfile TV presenter Julia Bradbury was a perfect fit. Julia joined British Glass in promoting the campaign on the regional radio network, which resulted in a mix of 40 interviews and features being broadcast across the UK. Online and print coverage for the campaign included pieces in Candis, BBC Good Food magazine and Country Living. We also arranged for Friends of Glass, the consumer forum supporting the campaign, to provide sponsorship for the WI Real Jam Festival and to exhibit at
the BBC Good Food Show.
Green Energy Scheme
We provided the PR support for the introduction of a new Green Energy Scheme. Launched at the House of Commons, the Scheme is backed by Ofgem and managed by an independent panel chaired by sustainability expert Solitaire Townsend. Media coverage included interviews for Solitaire on Radio Five Live, R4 You & Yours, plus news stories in The Guardian and Daily Telegraph, Country Living and Good Housekeeping.
Kimberly-Clark Professional*
As part of our freelance work with other PR agencies, Amanda Barry-Hirst is strategy adviser to the Suzanne Howe Communications team on their pan-European trade campaign for healthcare services giant Kimberly-Clark Professional*. Amanda also represented SHC as chair of the first industry debate on hand drying at a round table event in Brussels.
Supreme Creations
We provided trade PR support for the UK’s leading ethical manufacturer of reusable bags, Supreme Creations. The company manufactures and supplies reusable and bags for life to high street stores such as Tesco, Boots, Debenhams and The Co-Operative. PR activity included securing opinion pieces in key trade publications such as The Grocer, the creation of case studies for use on the company’s website and news stories in titles such as Packaging News.
